Two new scrubs and a mask launch at Walmart in 2021.
January 25, 2021
By: Melissa Meisel
Bringing the skin care benefits of its seminal Hydro Boost beauty collection, Neutrogena is adding on to its successful launch of Hydro Boost for hair this year. Celebrity spokesperson Lana Condor— a Vietnamese-born American actress and You Tube star— is a big fan of the line and gave beauty editors an exclusive preview of new products in an online event on January 11. Last year, Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Hydro Boost with Hyaluronic Acid Shampoo and Conditioner rolled out in Walmart, and will now be available in all mass market locations in the US. Two new scalp scrubs and a deep treatment mask will debut this year, too. Condor shared why these nourishing SKUs are now more important than ever when it comes to wellness. “This year, I’m staying ready for anything thrown my way. An example is making sure I can be as healthy as possible with self-care,” she told beauty editors. “The new products feel like you are actively doing something for yourself and taking care of your hair…. I don’t do masks daily, but in the new year I’d like to indulge a little bit more and be more soft with myself! When you take the extra time to do a mask or scrub to pamper yourself you just feel better overall.” Then, Condor led a presentation of the new products. Neutrogena, which knows that regular exfoliation can help remove dead skin cells, residue, and unclog pores, isn’t stopping at the face and body. The new Neutrogena Healthy Scalp scrubs and mask bring one of the most important steps of a skin care routine into the hair and scalp routine to promote a healthy scalp environment. The pH balanced scrubs exfoliate and gently remove impurities, product and oil buildup. The treatment formulas are infused with what the brand calls powerful skin care ingredients and gentle exfoliators. Leading the way with a twist of citrus is the Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Clarify & Shine Scalp Scrub. This clarifying hair care blend features pink grapefruit and vitamin C. The second new formula is Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Hydro Boost, a moisturizing blend infused with hyaluronic acid. The third product is a Neutrogena Hydro Boost deep treatment mask. The pH balanced mask is non-medicated and free from sulfated surfactants. This moisturizing blend is infused with hyaluronic acid to help add moisture and quench dry strands for long-lasting hydration. All Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Treatments will be available for $11.99 exclusively at Walmart. All shampoos and conditioners are now available at all mass retailers; this summer they debuted as Walmart, as reported in Happi. The expansion was developed through an in-house collaboration at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health between Neutrogena and Vogue International, makers of OGX and Maui Moisture.
